currently hiring for the following positions:

Laborer

The laborer is a key position in the support and maintenance of utility structures throughout the United States.  The position is required to operate safely and efficiently, utilizing required safety equipment (hard hat, safety vest, glasses, work boots, etc.) Use supplied equipment to excavate material around utility structures. Apply wood preservatives to the ground line area of a pole, and backfill the excavation site.

Foreperson

The Foreperson is a hands-on position, leading a utility support crew and ensuring the assigned day to day work is completed.  Committed to maintaining a safe work environment and upholding all company safety policies and procedures.  All work will be done to the highest level of quality and professionalism as defined by the company policies and the utility customer contracts.  Train crew member and assign tasks. Must be willing to work side-by-side with crew members in all aspects of the job to ensure quality output and the work is completed on time.

General Foreperson

The Utility Crew General Foreperson will oversee the day to work of five (5) to seven (7) utility support crews.  Will ensuring operational safety quality, and completeness of all weekly assignments.  Train, evaluates, and discipline when required, forepersons and ground crew employees.  Enforces safety policies, procedures and regulations; plans and organizes various jobs assigned daily; assures that the appropriate material and equipment is checked out to complete the assigned work each day. Ensure all crew act and appear in a professional manner that properly represents the utility customer and  SMI.
